Pink Shirt Day is the day Aotearoa comes together to take a stand against bullying and promote tolerance and manaakitanga. The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand has run this campaign since 2012, inspiring tangata to Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora – Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying.

Non-uniform can only be worn on Pink Shirt Day, if students are wearing a pink shirt / t-shirt/ top. Otherwise students must be in school uniform. However, students can wear pink accessories, such as arm bands, sunglasses, scarves with their school uniforms.

The Student WAKA Team has been working hard to make this event a big success. There will be activities and prizes for Best Dressed Form Class and Best Dressed Individuals and a giant bake sale at Interval and Lunch.

There will also be eftpos machines for baking and donations, for anyone who would like to make a contribution.

Any whānau wishing to provide baking for the bake sale at interval and lunch in support of our fundraising, please email Mrs Jane Jarman;  jjarman@kerikerihigh.ac.nz and drop off baking to Reception on Friday morning.  Your support is greatly appreciated.
