Sporting Opportunities
The sports offered at Kerikeri High School include Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Clay Target, Cricket, Cross Country, Croquet, Equestrian, Dressage and Show Jumping, Football, Futsal, Golf, Hockey, Inline Hockey, Kiwi Tag, Mountain Biking, Netball, Rugby, Rugby Touch, Rugby Sevens, Sailing, Squash, Stand-up Paddleboarding, Surfing, Swimming, Tennis, Table Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball and Waka Ama.
We endorse Sport New Zealand's initiative on Fair Play which reflects the school's commitment to ensuring that Kerikeri High School students participate in a sport with integrity, sportsmanship and honesty.
Kerikeri High School has a recognised Smokefree and Vapefree status both in the sporting sense and within the entire school campus.
Through the assistance of Sport New Zealand funding, the school has the services of a Sports Co-ordinator, a Sports Assistant and a Sports Administrator. This ensures that the quality of the Sports programme offered is continually high and available to all students.
Sports equipment is available for students to use at lunchtimes. Physical Education staff open the PE store each lunchtime to offer a variety of equipment for students to use at that time.
