Kerikeri Anzac Day Services

The Anzac Day Dawn Service and the Civic Service were once again led by students from Kerikeri High School and Springbank School, with their leadership being warmly acknowledged by Kerikeri RSA Past President Mr Bill Godfrey.

Our Prefect Team attended the Dawn Service, and Mr Clent and our Head Students laid a wreath on behalf of Kerikeri High School at both services.

The Roll of Honour was read by Head Boy Joe Jackosn, who also presented a speech at the Civic Service on the importance and relevance of Anzac Day. The Ode of Remembrance was read in Te Reo at both services by Head Girl Molly Para.

Year 13 student Hunter McInnes played the bagpipes.

The School Anzac Band of Amber Bloch-Jorgensen (Year 12), Olivia Davison (Year 11), Maks Gvardijancic (Year 10), Tegan Kana (Year 12), Braden McKay (Year 12) and Jack Mounter (Year 11) played the hymn and the National Anthems of New Zealand and Australia. Olivia Davison led the singing, and The Last Post and Reveille were played by Maks Gvardijancic.

Thank you to Miss Kathryn Thomson, Mr John Bell and Mr Luke Bowring for their support of the band.
