Congratulations to the students in the seven teams who competed in the recent Northland Debating Selection Tournament in Whangārei.
Kerikeri High School teams were placed 1st and 2nd in the competition. Our Deputy Head Girl Lilli-Rose Voakes (Year 13), Izzy Cannon (Year 12) and Joe Jackson (Year 12) won the competition. The Runners Up were Year 13 students: Hayley Bloch-Jorgensen, Annaliese Brewer and Ella Wade.
Ella Wade was selected as a member of the Northland Debating Team, and in reserve are Lilli-Rose Voakes, and Tyler Keehn (Year 12). The Northland Team will compete at the National School Debating competition in May.
Year 10 students Isobel Gurau and Tara Perry were awarded Most Promising Speaker and Joe Jackson (Year 12) was Highly Commended Speaker.
