About Us - Sporting
Our students participate in a wide range of sporting activities throughout the year. As well as developing skills and abilities we aim to build students' confidence, self-esteem and respect for others. We promote fair play and aim for high participation levels in our sports programme. The sports offered in our school are:

Kerikeri High School has built a strong national reputation in sailing having won the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Team Racing title eight times and then represented New Zealand in the annual Interdominion Championships Regatta against the best Australian school. Several past pupils have represented New Zealand at the Olympics, participated in The Round the World Ocean Race and The Americas Cup, and won World Team Racing titles.
There is an open water scuba course and test available to students in Terms 1 and 2 as part of the Year 13 Physical Education course. This leads to the CMAS Open Water 1 qualification.
Students also train externally for individual sports and have represented the school in Equestrian, Karate, Judo, Power Lifting,
Inline Hockey, Golf, Squash, and Surfing.
